Not exclusively Bash but, Bash will play a significant part to power a new Echo System that includes the ability to control Bash commands from a webage locally or from anywhere in the world like has never done before. I would say I am at around 66% to a stable product. What was missing was a secure Opensouerce stable easy to use Webpage Interface that was compatible with every browser. Bash and yadgui will not naively run in a browser Bash does the shell and Yadgui is the path way between Bash and a secure webpage interface. About a little over 2 month ago I found Opensource Elgg a secure easy to use Web Content Management Systemand is extremely stable and easy to use for both admin and user. Elgg is run by a Non-Profit Foundation and the script has been around for about 11 years now. Its very advanced and extremely easy to use where both Joomla and Wordress are now way too complicated. Let me get to the very important part how Bash is going to play a significant part in this new echo system. About 3 years ago I discovered that the yadgui provided a path option between browser and shell terminal / system shell. This yadgui opton can run "ANY COMMAND" once the command is assembled and properly formatted for use in terminal STDIN. I have created the scripting for yad and Bash. Now, all that remains is the remote access part from Elgg installed on Internet Webserver to Yadgui which is installed on local Linux system.i Yadgui can route browser url link output from a clicked hyperlink on a webpage (soon to be Elgg powered) regardless if the webpage is local on a remote server. The user will connect to Elgg on the Internet and click commands that will be routed to local Yadgui on users system on their local home network. Ultimately, this new Echo System could be used for remote tech support. Another viable option is where a company builds predefined webgages that match the commands that are compatible with a particular version of Linux. A webpage for Ubuntu; A webpage for Debian Pure Base; A webpage for ARCH, etc. So the user logins in to his version page and just about every command that a Linux user would run is just one click away. Over the last 2 months I have worked night and day with the Elgg CMS software and it provides all the options I need to finish this new Echo system I am calling "THE OFFTERNET". Imagine a system where a Linux user (even a Newbie) can control his computer from a web page that is locally on his home system or from anywhere in the world. Yadgui only needs to be on the Local system as Webpage parsed unformated commands are sent to the user's home Linux system and as such there is no security risk until the yadgui script propery and securly formats the commands and outputs them to terminal STDIN. These unformatted commands could be sent via email (if necessary security authentication like keys are used) to control that same Linux computer or multiple computers at home. AKA: Home Automation Contol. There are 3 parts to this Echo System. Bash + Yadgui + Elgg but, as reality is, it will be a year or two before it can be mainstream (if ever). Additionally and I will leave it with this, That template webpage that matches the particular Linux Versions, It will also be a Linux Tutor and a Linux Sub Social System control by No Corporation and that is why I call it "THE OFFTENET".
